Thanks to online volunteer Adriana Palacios, over 600 organizations from more than 80 countries have gained access to the educational materials and resources developed by Working To Empower, a Canadian youth-led NGO that supports local community responses to HIV/AIDS.

Adriana has been managing the organization’s resource-sharing programme for the past two years, maintaining the database of organizations, resources and 100 online volunteers who support the project by translating the HIV/AIDS educational materials into 28 languages. She also sends out new materials on a weekly basis to the member organizations of Working To Empower’s network worldwide, which range from small grassroots initiatives to governmental bodies. “With her hard work and determination, Adriana has single-handedly made this programme a success. We inform and direct one another daily,” says Logan Cochrane, founder and director of Working To Empower.
