Background and objectives
▪ Identify and evaluate data processing activities in the organization ▪ Provide advice and instructions on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) ▪ Arrange for training on GDPR compliance for volunteers ▪ Monitor data management procedures and compliance within the organization ▪ Maintain records of processing operations ▪ Write and update detailed guides on data protection policies ▪ Perform audits and determine whether the organization needs to alter existing procedures to comply with regulations ▪ Participate in meetings with managers to ensure privacy by design at all levels ▪ Offer consultation on how to deal with privacy breaches ▪ Follow up with changes in law and issue recommendations to ensure compliance ▪ Ensure to address all queries from data subjects within legal timeframes (e.g. delete their information from database) ▪ Act as point of contact with EU residents, supervisory authorities and internal teams
Leadership & strategy
International law
▪ Experience in data protection and legal compliance (work experience is preferable) ▪ Solid knowledge of GDPR and EU data protection laws ▪ Knowledge of data processing operations in organization sector. ▪ Familiarity with computer security systems ▪ Possessing high integrity to handle confidential information ▪ Strong ethics, with the ability to remain impartial and report all noncompliance
Volunteers: 2 needed
6-10 hours per week / 30 weeks
▪ Accessibility to Computer/Laptop, Good network internet connection and familiarity with social media platforms in specific WhatsApp and Skype ▪ Must be an excellent communicator with ability to work in a virtual setting ▪ Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines ▪ Must have passion for building and growing relationships ▪ High professional standards, including integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
