Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
Development of culturally appropriate curriculum to support teaching and learning of the English language. Learners are rural children and teens with disabilities. Working from an outcomes-based framework, you will develop detailed materials, activities, and assessments for use by language teachers (tutors). Curriculum materials must also support the personal and social development of learners. Responsibilities: Curriculum development and adaptation based on feedback on learner needs from tutors and Project Coordinators. Materials must be based on best practices and match the needs of learners. Please apply with a CV which gives your experience in teaching, curriculum development or instructional design.

The Ann Foundation aspires to empower disadvantaged children through progressive education. Ann Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization creating permanent positive change in the world. Guided by the belief that every child deserves an equal right to education; we provide online and on-the-ground literacy solutions to less fortunate children and youth and those with disabilities.
Volunteers: 5 needed
1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks
Professional background as an educator with knowledge and several years’ experience in curriculum development. Experience designing/adapting curriculum for children with disabilities would be a plus. Experience in instructional design would also be an asset but is not required. Must be willing to work as a member of a team. A commitment of at least 2 years would be appreciated.
