Background and objectives
We are looking for volunteers to conduct Online English classes for children and youth. This task requires volunteers who are comfortable speaking the local Indian language - Telugu (apart from English), who enjoy working with children, have a passion to teach, are dedicated to our mission and willing to work together with a large group of international volunteers. 2 hours per week is a must. All classes will take place online via Skype. The duration of each class will be about an hour, starting between 5 pm and 7 pm IST. Volunteers will be given a short orientation prior to engagement.

Offering online English, Personality Development and basic computer literacy classes is part of our literacy project for children and young adults in various countries around the world. Through the knowledge and skills imparted through these classes, we hope students are empowered to become literate, self-confident, employable and independent citizens.
Volunteers: 10 needed
1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks
Fluency in Telugu and English is a definite requirement as the children are beginners. Some experience in teaching would be well looked upon but not absolutely necessary. Some of the qualities sought in volunteers are: dedication to the task, passion to teach and interact with children, flexibility, capacity for effective team work and willingness to adhere to committed schedules and responsibilities.
