Background and objectives
Association for Community Awareness (ASCOA) is looking for volunteers that have experience with grant proposal writing, their expertise can help ASCOA to improve in its goal. ASCOA is an international NGO with headquarter in Buea, Cameroon. Online Volunteers will not be asked to submit funding requests on behalf of ASCOA. They will work closely with the CEO of ASCOA, communication will happen via email and other communication media will be used e.g facebook workplace, skype calls, and WhatsApp. We encourage volunteers with a strong background in a Non-profit organization and fundraising skills. They will help to draft proposals, that can enable ASCOA to raise fund to organize a conference on marine pollution and coastal area in Cameroon in 2020, this conference is to educate the population of Cameroon, mostly those in coastal areas.

This project is to fight against ocean trash and to free coastlines in Cameroon from trash and plastic pollution, Catering for the environment is one of the niches of ASCOA. There has been a lot of accumulating and littering of beaches in recent times and ASCOA has been on the ground cleaning coastline for the past two years. Reasons why ASCOA wishes to organize a conference to educate policymakers, CSOs, Community leaders, Business person’s and recycling companies in Cameroon on the importance of environmental projection mostly when it comes to Marine pollution, plastic pollution and cleaning of the coastal area.
Volunteers: 10 needed
6-10 hours per week / 12 weeks
-bachelor's degree in communications, English, professional writing or a similar major. Outstanding grammar and research skills on grant writing -Excellent grammar and strong grant writing skills needed; knowledge of nonprofit's. -Experience in grant proposal drafting skills with 2 years experience, -Writing and coordinating the grant application process -Ability to win a grant, -Ability to familiarize themselves with an organization's goals and needs.
