Background and objectives
Volunteers will help designing samples that will be used to make paper artworks though quilling paper technique. Each volunteer is expected to come up with 10 designs over the 10 weeks of volunteer period (one design each week). However this can be flexible. The main product is greeting cards. We will have different themes/topic that will be introduced to volunteers at the orientation video call meeting. Better Life Vietnam has launched the “Better Employment Opportunities for Disabled Youth” project. This program aims to empower youth with disabilities to feel more confident in their everyday life. Better Life Vietnam partners with Thuong Thuong Handmade Social Enterprise, an organization that offers vocational training and has created jobs for 15 youths with disabilities and incurable diseases. BLV will help expand this effort by recruiting and training more youth with disabilities to make handmade quilling paper products, and assist them in establishing stable income by selling these products in market.

Keep this in mind:

Most organizations find the volunteers they need within just a few days and close the opportunities to more applications. So if you see a project that interests you, apply right away and make sure that you show the organization that you have the right skills and motivation for the task!

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
