Background and objectives
On 30 January 2020, the Director-General of WHO declared the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) under the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005), following advice from the IHR Emergency Committee. On 4 February 2020, the Director-General of WHO briefed the Secretary-General of the United Nations and requested the activation of the United Nations crisis management policy to establish a Crisis Management Team (CMT) to coordinate the UN system-wide scale up to assist countries prepare for and respond to COVID-19. CAMAAY is looking for online volunteers who can assist with fundraising advice and strategy for its preparedness and response program for the COVID 19 outreach. The role will involve creating social media post, drafting fundraising appeal letters, marketing the program to donors and sponsors. The volunteers shall search potential partners, provide advice on best models,build relationships.

It is critical to communicate to the public what is known about COVID-19, what is unknown, what is being done, and actions to be taken on a regular basis. Preparedness and response activities should be conducted in a participatory, community-based way that are informed and continually optimized according to community feedback to detect and respond to concerns, rumours and misinformation We are in the process of organizing some community outreach activities to inform the community on the COVID19. Our objective is to raise awareness on the virus and provide reliable information to the public.
Volunteers: 10 needed
6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks
Good knowledge and experience in fundraising, marketing and communication. The volunteer must have experience and have undertaken similar role in the past
