Requirements
The current CIRMAD website is not professionally managed to really showcase our activities. We seek to update, improve and extend our website to improve user functionality and experience, and support our global awareness and fundraising initiative. They will provide graphic and web design expertise, and be responsible for creating, enhancing, and implementing new web page designs in a primarily WordPress environment using open source technologies; for our communication strategy and branding.The online volunteers are expected to be available for 15 weeks, starting as soon as they can. The online volunteers will be promptly provided all necessary or required information by this Coordinator/CEO of the organisation. For access to the internet we use rechargeable modems or keys and cyber cafés.
CIRMAD is inviting you to assist us to realize mission of working to contribute to global development through conservation awareness raising and innovative conservation actions, for the sustainable management of the indigenous natural resources. We have been working to improve our ability to reach out to partners and donors globally. This task is to redesign our website to create a singular brand, increase user functionality and make information easily accessible and improve our Website traffic. We are also looking to make our website more dynamic. The objective website is to showcase CIRMAD and our contribution to sustainable development through conservation and civil society work. Our activities of great ape conservation, medicinal wildlife conservation, wildlife law enforcement, support to protected area management, reforestation, promotion of culture, human rights and gender equity, etc. will be displayed globally to instil greater conservation awareness and actions.
Experience in building websites that are Section 508 compliant, experience in WordPress, experience in mobile development, experience in integrating 3rd party APIs into PHP HTML and CSS knowledge. Interest in non profit/charitable organizations If you are interested in undertaking this task, please submit a CV, also outlining some specific experiences matching the task.

Access to the Internet and the right tools. You’ll need reliable Internet access, as well as regular access to a communication device, such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer. 

Time. Decide how much time you can realistically devote to your online volunteering activities. Once you select a daily or weekly time range, you’ll be counted on to honour your commitment.

Availability. You’ll need to make yourself available for any teleconferences, meetings or check-ins required by the organization for which you’re volunteering.
