Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
We are looking for an Online Volunteer in the area of development that can advise on our team in our review of our development strategy. This will include reading past proposals and some new project concepts in order to familiarise yourself with our organisation. You opinion will be valued and you will be listened to.

Contra Nocendi International stands shoulder to shoulder with human rights defenders to uphold the dignity of all persons. We are a Paris-based international human rights NGO working toward the advancement and protection of human rights in Africa through capacity building and peacebuilding. We work closely with partner organisations, government officials and activists to facilitate the necessary respect for all human rights. We also engage in capacity building by working to help augment the monitoring capacities of local NGOs. The project that will help our organisation in the importance process of reviewing our development strategy and messaging. We currently provide legal aid to pretrial detainees and monitor detention centres. We have identified a significant amount of need in both areas, but as of right now we are only able to address a small fraction of this need. Your work will help put our staff in a better position to expand our operations to meet a larger portion of the need of services and support that we provide.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 8 weeks
A background in non-profit/charity project development, development strategy and/or messaging is desired. You will also need to be able to have access to reliable internet access. It is helpful if you are confident in speaking in front of others. A reliable grasp of budgeting would be ideal as well.
