Background and objectives
We are currently in need of online volunteer with skills in fundraising and development to help develop an overall fundraising strategy for EACO. The volunteer is expected to search for fundraising and grant opportunities. The volunteer will provide support to the Project Coordinator on strategic thinking and provide or share ideas on how to look/target for donors, foundations and humanitarian/development agencies. It is expected that the online volunteer will provide support to EACO for 3 months. EACO will provide a dedicated staff member to provide support to the online volunteer and to act as a catalyst of the work on the ground. We anticipate that communication between EACO and the online volunteer will occur via email, telephone and Skype.
Project development and management
Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination
EACO provides physical and psycho social support to marginalized and at-risk women, vulnerable children & orphans, youth and the elderly living in the Mukono district through a range of projects. Due to the limited resources in our organization we are unable to expand our services. The development of an overall fundraising strategy and assistance from the online volunteer in fundraising will support the expansion of our activities. The volunteer’s contribution will be to support EACO by establishing a good fundraising strategy. This will significantly benefit EACO’s activities and enhance the organization’s effectiveness therefore helping people in need in Uganda. EACO’s organizational objectives can be found on its website.
