Background and objectives
The Marketing, Outreach and Reporting Unit in the Resource Mobilization Division (TCR) in FAO produces a series of outreach and advocacy material. These include brochures, leaflets, presentation templates, highlight sheets, booklets, and reports. The content is prepared by TCR staff, and external support is needed for the digital dissemination of the different products via social media, webpage, and newsletter. The volunteer will work under the direct guidance and supervision of the Programme Officer and will be part of TCR's marketing and outreach team. All work will be done remotely, with weekly skype calls and email exchanges. The volunteer is needed from June to November (six months)

The Resource Mobilization Division (TCR) leads and coordinates the mobilization of voluntary contributions (currently 60 percent of FAO’s budget) in support of the organization’s strategic priorities. TCR manages FAO’s relations with resource partners, strategically matching partners’ interests to those of the organization, and supports the negotiation of agreements. It mounts marketing campaigns around global concerns, provides market and business intelligence and positioning services to management as well as resource mobilization capacity development opportunities to decentralized and headquarters offices. The Marketing, Outreach and Reporting unit (TCR2) plans and implements marketing campaigns and results-based products around global concerns and partnerships, to mobilize resource partners and for the achievement of the global goals in the 2030 Agenda.
Volunteers: 2 needed
6-10 hours per week / 24 weeks
• Knowledge of social media tools and platforms (Twitter and social media analytics tools); • Familiarity with web-based applications and programs ( Adobe Connect, Adestra Message Focus, Typo3, google analytics)
