Background and objectives
Requirements
GANHRI works in four official languages (EN, FR, ES, AR) and regularly produces documents, statements, reports, newsletters, etc. that need to be translated to become accessible to all its members, which are the national human rights institutions across the world. In particular GANHRI looks for volunteers who can help translating from ENGLISH into FRENCH and vice-versa. 2018 workshop report on NHRIs and IDPs. The length of the document to translate may vary a lot, but normally it can go from one page to 20 pages maximum, according to the kind of document. GANHRI will make sure to acknowledge the contribution of volunteers to its work, including by distributing participation certificate.

Translation and interpretation
GANHRI works in support of the national institutions for the promotion and protection of human rights (NHRIs) from all around the world. GANHRI has around 100 members and in order to be able to reach of them, it is essential that documents are available in all of the 4 languages of the network (this is mandatory by the GANHRI Statute). NHRIs work at national level in promoting the implementation of the SDGs, in particular goal 16, referred to the rule of law, peace, justice and strong institutions.
Volunteers: 3 needed
6-10 hours per week / 2 weeks
Professional level translators, with specific experience in translating legal documents.
