Background and objectives
We are looking for five online volunteers to support us with giving advice on/share ideas on raising funds for a project at Chennai to provide skills training and employment opportunities to Hearing Impaired youth in Chennai to make them self-sufficient. The task also includes to develop a fundraising strategy and research potential donors. Volunteers will not be requested to submit any funding request on behalf of our organization.We will provide volunteers with needed information via email or Skype.
HELP Trust is an NGO working for the welfare of children, youth and women in India since 2004. We have started a training center to provide skills training and employment opportunities to Hearing Impaired youth in Chennai to make them self-sufficient. This center provide training to deaf and mute youth on Carpentry, Dress making and Bakery and cooking. We need support to (i) Build a database of potential donors; (ii) Develop the fundraising strategy; and (iii) Contribute to resource mobilization.

Before jumping in as an online volunteer, make sure you have:

Access to the Internet and the right tools. You’ll need reliable Internet access, as well as regular access to a communication device, such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer. 

Time. Decide how much time you can realistically devote to your online volunteering activities. Once you select a daily or weekly time range, you’ll be counted on to honour your commitment.

Availability. You’ll need to make yourself available for any teleconferences, meetings or check-ins required by the organization for which you’re volunteering.
