Background and objectives
Requirements
To enable IMPACT OSS, an innovative piece of open source software designed to address a specific and global need, to be made readily available to the widest audience, a business plan is currently being developed by the trustees responsible for maintaining the code and supporting new users. A Business Development Expert volunteer is sought to support this work specifically in: - Develop a sustainable income generation strategy to be incorporated into the Business Plan (thus enabling it to be executed) - Identify and explore funding opportunities - Contribute to the drafting of the Business Plan

IMPACT OSS is a piece of open source software that allows states to cluster and manage recommendations, eliminating implementation gaps, encouraging greater collaboration, ensuring ongoing data collection and reducing the reporting burden. It also enables states to link implementation of human rights to the SDGs and national development priorities, creating even greater efficiencies. IMPACT OSS is currently being used in Samoa and NZ. The trust has been invited to present in the margins of the Human Rights Council, RightsCon 2019 and various other international forums, reflecting the significant global interest that exists in the tool.
Volunteers: 1 needed
1-5 hours per week / 10 weeks
The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following: - Experience in new business development - Not for profit experience - Knowledge of a variety of income streams and strategies - Excellent writing skills - Knowledge of the international human rights system and SDGs
