Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
Under the supervision of the project manager and in close coordination with the rest of the Immigration and Border Management (IBM) team, the successful online volunteers will develop logos, designs and graphics in regards to 4 new IBM projects. For each project, the following products will need to be developed: logo, infosheet, facebook banner and design for folder, t-shirt, cap, pen & notebook. The project manager will provide online volunteers with samples of previous material, the text content, the requested format & the donor logos. After an initial briefing (through Skype or e-mail), the volunteer is expected to develop a first proposal within one week. The project managers will provide feedback within a couple of days. A final proposal will be agreed within another week. Note, not all the material is requested at the same time and task will be distributed. The online volunteer will be given a certificate upon completion of the work. IOM will own the rights to the final products.
Art and design
Arts, music, photography and film
This task will support the mission of IOM Niger to ensure quality design complying with IOM and donor standards, in order to enhance visibility of projects on all IOM Media, and towards all projects’ beneficiaries. IOM Niger Immigration and Border Management unit is working on many aspects, including the enhancement of national authorities capacities to secure and manage its borders, as well as facilitating cross-border movement of persons and goods.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 6 weeks
University degree, preferably in Arts, Design, IT or related field or the equivalence of related experience. Overall good knowledge of IT and excellent skills in Photoshop, Adobe illustrator or other design softwares. Beyond that, a general understanding of migration concepts are useful but not essential. Please include your CV with web links to examples of some previous designs or your art portfolio.
