Background and objectives
We would like the support of a volunteer for the development of a new website for our new project called ''Fonds pour les entrepreneurs locaux'' that will facilitate the connection between Congolese local entrepreneurs and funders (especially Congolese Diaspora from Canada, Europe, and USA). The volunteers will get all the necessary information and communication will be mainly through Email, Skype, and WhatsApp.
Technology development
Other information and telecommunications technology experience
KFF is implementing a program that enables young people with disabilities to participate in entrepreneurship training in DR Congo in order to help them achieve economic self-sufficiency. However, the program graduates/alumni are still struggling to raise funding to launch their startups. Of 650 young Congolese with disabilities who graduated in 2018, only ten percent were able to raise seed funds to launch their startups. The website will serve as a crowdfunding platform and contains an online library of business tools, business educational articles, videos, podcasts about starting and managing a small business in Congolese native languages.
Volunteers: 1 needed
1-5 hours per week / 3 weeks
The volunteer must have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems, UX (user experience), SEO (search engine optimization), and he/she can use any coding software like HTML or CSS, and any design software like Photoshop or Illustrator. The volunteer will be on working in French.

Keep this in mind:

Most organizations find the volunteers they need within just a few days and close the opportunities to more applications. So if you see a project that interests you, apply right away and make sure that you show the organization that you have the right skills and motivation for the task!

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
