Background and objectives
Kar Geno-Center for Hope, Kenya is a growing organization and we work for the community development, promotion of better opportunities, improving standards of living and provide assistance to the social sector. We are in need of support to develop a grant proposal for Kar Geno organization, in order to raise the necessary funds to help Kar Geno to implement its project to empower women with HIV/AIDS in Kenya. We expect the volunteer to: - Draft the donor proposal - Follow up the grant status once we have submitted it to the donor. However, the volunteers are prohibited from contacting potential donors or their personal contacts on behalf of our organization or submitting any proposal. The direct supervision will be given by the Project Manager, and additional Skype meetings will be organized when it is necessary. The detailed requirement will be shared electronically upon selection.

Kar Geno Organization in Kenya established in 2015 making tangible changes in the lives of HIV/AIDS affected people in Kenya through a variety of strategies. Our mission is to activate social solidarity, agriculture, technology, environment sustainability to turn the tides against the effects of HIV/AIDS on the people of Asembo, Kar Geno have several projects in Economic empowerment, Microfinance, Agriculture, Awareness among others. Our programs focuses on Empowerment of HIV affected Women in Kenya.
Volunteers: 5 needed
6-10 hours per week / 12 weeks
We would like to engage someone with really good academic and professional background, has at least past experience in writing successful grant proposals, has full understanding of challenges in developing countries especially Kenya. Willing to research on statistics to back up proposal. Willing to have a scheduled Skype meetings at least once a week and can work within the set time frame.
