Background and objectives
Assist the Director in developing in developing a fundraising strategy; Undertake online research potential donors for the activities of the organization. Help drafting letters and correspondences, and share innovative fundraising ideas. Be available on Skype and what asap calls in addition to regular emails. Project development and management
Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination
Project Title: Maternal , Neonatal & Child Health (MNCH) Project in Kenya. The project aim to: i). To contributes to the reduction of maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ii). Contribute to improve the living environment for unprivileged women, newborns and children in the target communities by increasing the general awareness and skills of waste management, improving rubbish collection system and promoting water-based diseases protection, thus ultimately achieving to increasing the health status of pregnant women, newborns and children. The specific objectives are: i. to increase the availability, accessibility, acceptability and utilisation of skilled attendance during pregnancy, childbirth and the post-partum period at the community level; ii. To strengthen the capacity of individuals, families, communities, and social networks to improve maternal and newborn health, and lastly. iii. to strengthen data management and utilization for improved MNH. The Kenya Association for Maternal and Neonatal Health -KAMANEH is a local not for profit Non-Governmental (NGO) registered in 1997.
Volunteers: 1 needed
11-20 hours per week / 20 weeks
Skills He/She needs to have: 1. commitment to the cause of the organization; 2. the ability to build and maintain relationships 3. creativity, imagination and an entrepreneurial attitude 4. the ability to influence others with excellent oral and written communication skills; 5.good organisational and project management skills; 6.Experience in NGO proposal writing.
