Background and objectives
Assist the Marketing and Social Media Officer in implementing online marketing campaigns that drive engagement, traffic & interest across social media. Meet weekly with Marketing & Social Media Officer to outline strategies for media engagement. Post to and monitor a range of social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr and other popular media platforms), simultaneously help grow social reach, engagement & referral traffic In meeting the tasks assigned to this task, the social media online volunteer will be required to provide daily status updates in terms of SM statistics via email. Additionally, weekly skype calls with the Marketing and Social Media Officer to plan and coordinate activities for the upcoming week

6-10 hours per week / 13 weeks
Candidate must be currently enrolled in, or have already completed some level of tertiary education; Demonstrated excellence in the English language is a must, as evidenced at least by a distinction in English A at the CSEC level; Knowledge of protocols, etiquette and norms of the various social media platforms is an important asset; Candidate must have regular access to internet, including having a smart phone with data services;

Before jumping in as an online volunteer, make sure you have:

Access to the Internet and the right tools. You’ll need reliable Internet access, as well as regular access to a communication device, such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer. 

Time. Decide how much time you can realistically devote to your online volunteering activities. Once you select a daily or weekly time range, you’ll be counted on to honour your commitment.

Availability. You’ll need to make yourself available for any teleconferences, meetings or check-ins required by the organization for which you’re volunteering.
