Background and objectives
1) Identify and research available and applicable grants to KIND’s programming 2) Research, retrieve and assemble background material for grant proposals 3) Data entry on potential funding organizations and creation of timelines for grant proposals for 2018-2019 4) Identify and research collaborative grant opportunities of $400,000 or more. 5) Communicate effectively to the Marketing Officer when a grant is located and disseminate the information quickly While the focus of this online volunteering assignment is research, however, the incumbent will be required to provide to keep in contact with the Marketing officer and provide weekly status via email and Skype. As per this site's Terms of Use, volunteers will not be requested to submit any funding themselves nor to submit any funding request on behalf of our organization.
Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination

KIND's Strategic Goal 1 is financial stability; therefore it is paramount that funding is diversified. A grant researcher will assist in exploring and identifying non-traditional donor with available funding that fits the context of our vision and goals.
Volunteers: 1 needed
1-5 hours per week / 52 weeks
Proven ability to identify and secure grants, Strong computer skills, Strong communication skills, Strong writing and editing skills, Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and self discipline, Superior knowledge of non-profit agencies Holds a degree in English, Social Sciences, Journalism, Business At least 2 years experience in grant researching
