Background and objectives
We are looking for volunteers to translate a publication on the “Best Practices in Livelihood in Community Based Rehabilitation” in Burkina Faso from English to French. All communication will be per e-mail. Additionally, we are looking for a second volunteer to revise the translation for typos etc. The publication has 20 pages with a total of around 6.500 words.
Translation and interpretation
The publication was written with the aim to introduce a handful of projects conducted in Burkina Faso by the NGO “Light for the World”. All of these projects are examples for successful “Community Based Rehabilitation”, a strategy to enhance the quality of life of women, men, boys and girls with disabilities, meet their basic needs, and ensure their inclusion and participation, particularly in resource-constrained settings. CBR means working with communities to become inclusive, whilst at the same time offering targeted support to women and men with disabilities. It is mainly about spreading the word about the possibilities and opportunities that arise throughout these kinds of projects, reducing inequalities (SDG 10) and strengthening global partnerships (SDG 17).
