Background and objectives
Requirements
We are seeking an online volunteer to translate an interim report (17 pages, 6752 words, from German into English) for a German government funded development project for Haiti. Sectors involved are Food Security, WASH, DRR. If wanted, the name of the volunteer will be mentioned on the translations with the following wording: Malteser Internal is grateful for the support of [name], UN Online Volunteer mobilized through www.onlinevolunteering.org. The deadline for submitting the translation would be 20 March.

Translation and interpretation
Translation of an Interim Report for the project Strengthening Resilience in urban slum communities in Haiti through Food Security, WASH and DRR. of approx. 17 pages from German into English submitted to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and to be shared with staff and partners in Haiti. The project contributes to Malteser's objective to strengthen the resilience of the Haitian population against natural disasters. The translation is for the transparency towards national partners and staff since the report was written in German and shall be shared with those. Malteser International has been working in Haiti since 2010 with projects in the sectors Health, WASH and DRR.
Volunteers: 1 needed
11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks
Experience in translation German-English. Please include your CV outlining your experience. Ideally you have some prior knowledge on development cooperation in general and specifically within the sectors of Food Security, WASH and DRR as well as prior translation experience. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
