Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
TMM is looking for a temporary volunteer who can help our organisation identify funding opportunities from various sources (grants, subsidies, etc.) to introduce and test our TMM platform in Kenya. Your responsibilities would be to: 1) Map out relevant funding opportunities for TMM and prioritise opportunities based on funding requirements, timeline and probability of success. 2) Gather relevant information for funding proposals and draft funding applications based on background on funding requirements and funder background and priority. 3) Assist the management team, and particularly the Director for Business Development and the Director Finance and Control, in any further preparations related to funding applications and submissions. Online volunteers will not be requested to submit any funding requests themselves!

We are TMM - an online matching and communication platform. We connect SMEs and farmers in Kenya with local and international experts. Our vision is that affordable access to expertise and knowledge helps small- and medium enterprises in emerging economies to create employment, build local capacity, and improve commercial viability, and thereby support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's). With our experienced, multi-disciplinary team, we strive to provide a tool that is transparent, objective, and cost-effective.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 12 weeks
Education Level: preferably at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as development or business management. Professional Experience: preferably some experience in sourcing of funds, as well as mapping, evaluating and preparing funding proposals. Experience working or living in a emerging country, or related experience in capacity building and knowledge transfer is an added value.
