Background and objectives
Requirements
Morobe Development Foundation Inc (MDF) is looking for four online volunteers who are experienced in proposal writing to assist our team in completing four project proposals, which will be submitted by MDF to the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives. Draft proposals have been developed and the volunteers will edit, structure and provide advice to further improve the draft proposals to suit donors' requirements in collaboration with the focal person. The topics involved are: education, women rights, women empowerment and community development for rural communities. The Volunteer will not be asked to submit proposals on behalf of MDF or to negotiate for funds. A certificate of appreciation will be issued once the task has been successfully complete.

Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination
Violence against women is very rampant in Papua New Guinea and Morobe Development Foundation Inc is working together with local partners and NGO's to use various intervention strategies to end violence against women and empowering the women folks in Papua New Guinea by facilitating community development initiatives to build their capacities. The proposals developed are diverse as we aim to cover all areas that the women folks in Papua New Guinea are lacking in terms of empowerment opportunities within their culturally oriented communities. The proposals cover interventions for raising awareness using drama, water supply initiatives, small projects to support the womenfolk as well as infrastructure development to directly benefit and indirectly benefit the women. Successful volunteers recruited will receive a certificate of appreciation through the Online Volunteering portal upon the completion of this task.
Volunteers: 4 needed
6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks
We seek highly qualified volunteers with relevant academic background in Gender Studies and at least 3 years of work experience in violence against women and women rights projects. Applicants must have extensive knowledge on intervention strategies on violence against women and women particion at community level. Successful applicants must also have knowledge of Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation. Please attach your resume when applying.
