Requirements
Morobe Development Foundation Inc requires the service of an online volunteer with auditing qualifications and experience who can do an audit and write yearly financial statements for the group. He or she will be able to communicate effectively with the group's focal contact person to ensure the task is completed with the certificate issued to the volunteer accordingly.The person selected must be a Certified Accountant and must be working for more than five years with a reputable accounting firm. He or she must be an accounting graduate who is well versed in accounting and auditing procedures.
Morobe Development Foundation is a community-based group from Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. MDF will be completing a project funded by UNWomen which involved the training of the members of the group on drama and creative arts, Gender-Based Violence, and Issues related to the women accused of sorcery. After the training, the group will able to tour two provinces in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea where the issue on sorcery violence is prevalent. MDF has completed two phases of the project and will be completing the last phase in June 2017 and wish to engage the volunteer to cross-check its bookkeeping and financial Reporting submitted to the donor agency concerned. The task is straight-forward and it will take less than 2 hours of the volunteers free time daily to carry out this task. Deadline of the task-involved will be set and any questions related to the task will be sent to the group's focal contact person to further clarify and elaborate further.
The group will need an expert with a degree in accounting and book-keeping and more than five years working experience with an NGO in a developing country. The volunteer must be in a sober state and can work an extra hour to meet the set deadline when requested. He or she must be able to work with people of different culture and background. He or she must be able to communicate effectively within the time frame set.

Before jumping in as an online volunteer, make sure you have:

Access to the Internet and the right tools. You’ll need reliable Internet access, as well as regular access to a communication device, such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer. 

Time. Decide how much time you can realistically devote to your online volunteering activities. Once you select a daily or weekly time range, you’ll be counted on to honour your commitment.

Availability. You’ll need to make yourself available for any teleconferences, meetings or check-ins required by the organization for which you’re volunteering.
