Background and objectives
The Foundation is looking for the support of an expert volunteer who has qualification and experience in communications and development to help us develop a crowd funding campaign for the preservation of the Leatherback Turtle in Huon District, Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea. The task also involves providing advice and guidance on how we can raise fund online using various crowd funding platform. The volunteer is expected to work alongside with the Foundations contact person to ensure the task is carried out effectively as expected.

Morobe Development Foundation Inc has recently diversified its objective to support Community Development Projects such as conservation or any Community Development Innitiative in the Rural Communities of Papua New Guinea. The main objective of this project is to fund raise to protect and conserve the endangered Leather back turtle which come every here to the Huon Coast of Morobe Province to lay eggs. With the treat of climate change, pollution and human activity the campaign will specifically empower the local community by educating them to take necessary steps to release 300 eggs of young turtles per nesting site during the nesting period.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks
We are looking for a volunteer who has 5 years of experience and must have qualification in video making and communication, journalism or communications and development. He/she must be willing to work diligently to meet the Foundations expectation and must be able to work with limited supervision to produce the desired result.
