Background and objectives
Morobe Development Foundation Inc (MDF) is looking for online volunteers who are experienced in proposal writing to assist the foundations co-leader in researching, editing and providing advice in the areas of Solid Waste and Resource Management The online volunteers will not be asked to submit proposals on behalf of MDF. The work and the area of concern will be on Solid Waste Management, Hazardous Waste Management and Environmental Management in general. The online volunteers must have carried out research in Solid and Hazardous Management as well as Hygiene and Sanitation. The online volunteers must have a Master Degree in Environmental Engineering specifically in Solid Waste and Resource Management.

This project is specifically on Solid Waste Management and Hazardous Waste Management in the Municipal areas of Papua New Guinea. The project will utilize the research skills of the volunteer to research past work on using fly ash an alternative ingredient in brick and cement making in a developing country. The volunteer will will collaborate with the focal contact person of the Foundation to ensure the task is carried out and the volunteer certified through the United Nations Online Portal. The volunteer we are looking for must have a good research and interpretation skills to further carry out research on fly ash and can work towards a deadline set.
Volunteers: 3 needed
1-5 hours per week / 12 weeks
The volunteer we are looking for must have done similar research project in the past on the use of fly ash in cement making and must have published various papers on international journals. He or she must have a Masters Degree or more and must have a strong analytical and research skills.
