Background and objectives
We would like the support of two volunteers for the development of a new mobile app called iDviceMe for one of our new programs. The project's goal is to crowd-source professional advice for students and fresh graduates. The volunteer will work with a UI/UX designer and the backend developer remotely. The volunteers will get all the neccesary information and communication will be mainly through Email, Skype, WhatsApp, and Google drive.

As an organization, we want to see a Nigeria where young people are empowered for quality living, free of social vices with enhanced productivity and well-being. With this mobile app, we hope to be able to improve education and reduce poverty by helping many young people in Africa to get professional advice about career, business, academics, health, etc. for free.
Volunteers: 2 needed
6-10 hours per week / 20 weeks
Skills required: -Competent in Xamarin and .Net -Good Knowledge of memory management -Demonstrate primary programming skills and OOP -Understanding of using Xamarin technology in order to create effective native UI for iOS, Android and Windows phone -Exposure of wire formats like JSON, XML -A good experience communicating for web services (HTTP, REST, SOAP) -Fundamental understanding of Subversion or Git -Primary knowledge of database design and data structures
