Background and objectives
We need a talented Airtable Online Volunteers to build a block to allow users to deliver a formatted report of the content in the tables. Simply put, we are gathering key information related to Covid-19 and we want to be able to output the data from three tables that covers a specific time period. For instance, a weekly or bi-weekly report. Airtable blocks are coded elements that perform specific functions in Airtable. They are built with javascript and the React library. We would like a volunteer to develop custom blocks in Airtable to generate reports. We have templates that we would like to recreate and fill with database content.
Technology development
Software and applications development and analysis
To respond effectively to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 crisis, analyze its human rights impacts and responses by States to the pandemic, OHCHR has quickly adjusted its programmes. This includes the development of systems to gather, organize, process, and deliver timely information and analysis on COVID-19, including to inform OHCHR interventions. At the field level, human rights information is informing strategic decisions by governments and other national counterparts and the United Nations Country Teams, to mitigate the human rights impacts of COVID-19. At the onset of the crisis, the Information Management and Data Analytics (IMDA) team of OHCHR’s Emergency Response Section built an initial COVID-19 tracker database to manage the initial information gaps and situational awareness requirements. The new system focuses on the operational environment and key issues of concern, as distinct from human rights case management systems. We now need a way to make the data available through a visual interface and deliver the relevant inputs so human rights experts can use the data to inform their analysis.
