Background and objectives
- Review and enhance the existing editions of Cambio Spanish School’s 6 core - - Spanish curricula and additional specialized courses - Recommend and implement improvements to all curricular, instruction, and assessment materials currently used - Align curricular, instruction, and assessment materials with course goals and objectives - Use the existing versions of the curricula to develop student workbooks for each course with exercises in reading, writing, listening, and conversation. We would also highly value a manual to provide input on how lessons can be delivered and assessed in addition to the curricula The project can be extended by assist in the development of additional advanced-level curriculums in specified subjects such as Business Spanish, Spanish for Mental Health Workers, and Guatemalan History The online volunteer will have the support and guidance of one dedicated focal person, at NDG and Cambio Spanish School. The volunteer will receive a certificate.

Niños de Guatemala is a Dutch-Guatemalan NGO whose aim is to assist in breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering empowerment in Guatemala by providing education and social services to children from low-income families. In operation since 2006 NDG currently operate two primary schools and a middle school educating 431 children (and growing every year).
Volunteers: 1 needed
11-20 hours per week / 52 weeks
- Experience in writing or managing the development of foreign language curricula - Knowledge of the principles and methodologies of effective teaching Ability to independently manage own workload, set priorities, meet deadlines, and evaluate progress toward outcomes -Strong written communication skills - Spanish fluency - Dedication to Cambio and Niños de Guatemala´s missions and goals
