O.A.B.I is seeking to enhance the lives of women and girl in Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and St. Vincent. According to UNDP and UN Women, Latin America and the Caribbean is the most violent region in the world for women outside of a conflict context. Violence against women and girls is an atrocity in itself and the manifestation of this violence is endemic. Hindering the advancement of many women and girls in the region. Research together with the consistent community and public engagement in the form of education, awareness and training is crucial to combat and prevent violence in the region. With the support of volunteers, we will be able to create competitive and creative proposals, apply for funding and document successes from the implementation of our programs and activities. Ultimately addressing the problem of gender-based violence and the issues attached to it. And support victims through their life regaining processes to become self-sufficient and sustainable and positively contribute to society. Advocate and lobby for laws and policies and work towards the realisation of gender equality and social justice.
