Background and objectives
We are developing a fully web-based environment that works on all devices. Therefore, we’re looking for someone who has extensive knowledge on which (combination of) technologies can be used to accomplish this. Currently, there are 2 teams working on (1) a virtual (2D) World where children can discover their content in a playful manner, and (2) Educational and Entertaining content and/or games. You take on an advising/co-ordinating/leading role to support both Team Leads. Your job is to keep track of all technologies used by the different developer teams and make sure that the technologies are compatible/optimal. You accomplish this through interacting with the Team Leads on Slack, Skype, or via email. Also, if there are technology related questions, you are the Expert in the Organisation. You reply within one day. You will join the Board of the organisation, so we also expect you to bring a network of contacts, vision and a large portion of humor amongst others.

IT architecture and IT project management
PCs4KIDS brings educational content to orphanages, IDP settlements, and schools; primarily kids aged 5-15. The current software package is developed to upcycle PCs by also installing a light Linux distro. On a global scale vast amounts of kids have access to touchscreen devices or powerful computers, thus we will significantly increase the number of children's lives that we enrich by giving access to our content across all platforms.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 52 weeks
Highly (self)-motivated, thorough knowledge of IT technologies, able to coordinate usage of technologies in both projects with the respective Team Leaders, respond quickly to questions.
