Background and objectives
We seek the services of two online volunteers to engage in an extensive research on the internet, using several search engines, and other tools in order to compile a list as well as details of potential donor organizations and available funding opportunities world wide for us. Our organization will then develop and submit viable proposals for funding to potential donors within our program areas. The volunteers are prohibited from contacting potential donors or their personal contacts on behalf of our organization.
Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination
Refugee Welfare Association Cameroon (REWAC) is an indigenous, non profit organization registered under Cameroon law in the year 2009. It has as a mandate the protection, promotion and the enforcement of the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and IDPs as enshrined in International Law to which Cameroon is a Signatory. According to the UN Refugee Agency, Cameroon hosts over 600,000 refugees and asylum seekers from 26 countries as well as over 500,000 internally displaced persons due to the ongoing armed conflict in the two English speaking regions.. We need to raise the necessary funds for our activities. As a civil society organization, the donor community world wide remains one of the main sources of our income. Without knowledge of such donor organizations and other existing funding opportunities, our ambition of raising the necessary resources would therefore be an exercise in futility.
