Background and objectives
We are looking for an online volunteer with experience as graphic designer to help us design our LearnCloud Introductory Slides (the copy will be provided). We are trying to convey how the LearnCloud works using as few words as possible so that our international users will understand. We have 7 slides that we need layout and design for. The volunteer graphic designer would need to design the 7 slides, be open to feedback and be prepared to make some revisions, and then provide us with the image files for all of the design work done. A virtual meeting to provide an overview of the Rumie brand and more details about the project will be held with the successful candidate at the start of the project. Our brand guidelines will be provided. Ideal project completion date is December 21st, 2018.

The Rumie Initiative is a non-profit with the vision of a world where everyone has equal access to learning. Our mission is to mobilize the power of collaboration to improve access to quality digital learning resources. Rumie’s approach begins with the LearnCloud - an online repository of high quality, digital, educational content which is crowdsourced by educators and other passionate volunteers in different languages and for different contexts. Rumie then works with local on-the-ground program partners around the world who choose the learning material that is most appropriate for their unique context and load that content onto the specialized Rumie Tablet or any personal Android device via the Rumie App for offline use. We have the copy for a brief "introductory slideshow" to introduce users to the Rumie LearnCloud, but we need graphic design help to make it look visually appealing, and understandable, even for users who don't speak English.
Volunteers: 1 needed
11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks
The successful online volunteer will need to have exceptional graphic design skills and some website coding experience. The slides will need to be designed in such a way that they could be included on a website. Communication skills are also important as the successful candidate will need to collaborate with Rumie to design the slides that we need. Please provide a web link to samples of your work in your application.
