Background and objectives
This is an exciting opportunity for three volunteers who can assist in translating the text for our upcoming Pan-African Awards from English to French. The text in documents to be translated include the application form, application guide, press releases, website text and promotional copy (short paragraphs or sentences).
Translation and interpretation
The Pan-African Awards rewards the most innovative and inspiring organisations working with young people in Africa, cultivating entrepreneurial and workplace skills in youth or using innovative methods to fund education. The volunteers selected will play a key role in delivering the awards as they will be directly supporting the process for bringing this awards programme to Francophone organisations. By providing French translation, more organisations will have the opportunity to apply and win the award, increasing the capacity of organisations to promote entrepreneurship and education to young people across Africa.
Volunteers: 3 needed
1-5 hours per week / 2 weeks
We use specific language when speaking about our programmes. Key vocabulary and examples of translations from previous years will be provided in order to integrate for this year's text.

Keep this in mind:

Most organizations find the volunteers they need within just a few days and close the opportunities to more applications. So if you see a project that interests you, apply right away and make sure that you show the organization that you have the right skills and motivation for the task!

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
