Background and objectives
We are seeking the support of an online volunteer to translate an article called "Principle Responsibilities Of An NGO Board And Its Members". The text has about 4000 words. Our organization, Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum (UPF) is a member organization. Our partnership with our members is being supported by the mutual sharing of information. That is why we need to have this article translated into Ukrainian to be further presented to the members and partners (other Ukrainian NGOs). In order to recognize online volunteers’ contributions, we will add a reference line to a volunteer who was working on the translation, with his\her name and a source (UNV). If needed, we will be happy to give recommendations for the volunteer's further job or initiatives.
Community organizing
Translation and interpretation
The Ukrainian Philanthropists’ Forum (UPF) is a professional association of charitable foundations and leaders of philanthropic organizations. One of our activities is "Na Vchis’!" program («На ВЧИСЬ!», can be translated as "Here, learn!"). This is an educational program. It includes monthly workshops, trainings, peer learning events, seminars on different topics: communication, organizational potential, accountability, and finances, etc. Participants obtain the information on the best practices in philanthropy, share experience on initiatives/projects/programs aimed at achieving sustainable positive change in Ukrainian society, and develop partnerships. We aim to spread reliable, adequate and useful information about charity activities. We need this article to be published on our website so that Ukrainian NGOs could find out how to ensure organizational sustainability.
