Background and objectives
We are a non-profit organisation with offices in The Hague and Uganda looking to improve our presence online through sharing information on the work that we do, which is to support rural and impoverished communities. We are currently working on an international volunteering program, and we require the support of a volunteer to help us make a brochure, both in terms of layout and content. The brochure will contain short but clear information regarding our volunteering program, and it will look neat, professional, and appealing. The brochure will complement the Volunteering page on our website. This is a two weeks volunteering opportunity, with the possibility of extension if more time is needed. You will work closely with the Program Coordinators who will provide raw content.
Art and design
Journalism, mass media and broadcasting
The Umbrella of Hope Foundation (TUH) runs several projects in Uganda to end poverty and illiteracy through education and skills training. Our projects cater to underprivileged children, youth and women in rural Uganda. Currently, we are working on an International Volunteering Program that seeks to attract experienced volunteers who can contribute to, support and improve our running projects in Uganda. The new brochure will be used to promote our International Volunteering Program to potential volunteers.

Keep this in mind:

Most organizations find the volunteers they need within just a few days and close the opportunities to more applications. So if you see a project that interests you, apply right away and make sure that you show the organization that you have the right skills and motivation for the task!

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
