Background and objectives
Requirements
Under the direction of a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) team, two online volunteers are needed to translate 5 articles (500-1000 words) to be published on the Spanish version of our website. The articles focus on the activities of UNAI member institutions and updates from the United Nations related to education topics. The online volunteers will be issued a certificate of appreciation for their contributions. The translation should be consistent and follow the guidelines and standards used at the United Nations.

The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is an initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting and contributing to the realization of United Nations goals and mandates, including the promotion and protection of human rights, access to education, sustainability and conflict resolution. There are over 1300 member institutions in more than 130 countries that reach millions of people in the education and research sectors around the world. The online volunteers' contribution will ensure the proper delivery of information about this initiative to those who speak Spanish.
Volunteers: 4 needed
1-5 hours per week / 4 weeks
Fluency level in Spanish: native speaker or near-native speaker and experience translating professional-level publications from English into Spanish is a must Academic background and work experience in international affairs is optional, but will be considered an asset. Please upload your CV in your application. Applicants may be asked to translate a short paragraph as part of the selection process.
