Background and objectives
Requirements
The UN Office of ICT is planning to organize a "UN Conference on Frontier Technology" to take place in February 2019. The site will have 2 to 3 static pages and one dynamic page to log the RSVps. The site will be hosted on 'www.un.org' platform and will be made using Drupal platform. The event aims to provide the multiple stakeholders with a platform for an exchange of best practices and experiences, to create new networks for innovative forms of collaboration, and to generate concrete recommendations, including public policies. The objective of this opportunity is to help the UN Office of ICT develop a website to promote the conference, explain its outreach and advocacy objectives and raise the interest of the public to this initiative.

The primary objective of this conference is to bring Member States and the United Nations together with top researchers, experts, practitioners, the private sector, civil society and other key actors to discuss the opportunities and challenges of AI and blockchain to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs. The event aims to provide the multiple stakeholders with a platform for exchange of best practices and experiences, to create new networks for innovative forms of collaboration, and to generate concrete recommendations, including public policies. This Conference will kick off an annual series of discussions on harnessing the power of new and frontier technologies for achieving sustainable development.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 2 weeks
Knowledge of Drupal is essential. We are looking for an online volunteer with strong skills in graphic design, multimedia development as well as proven record in developing effective outreach message. UN OICT will own the rights of the final product.
