Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
The Online Volunteer will translate from English to Chinese a survey questionnaire developed by UNDP under the Youth Co:Lab initiative that aims to assess how young entrepreneurs (18-35) in Asia-Pacific have been impacted over the past year since the COVID-19 outbreak. The survey questionnaire contains 50 questions. The majority of the survey questions are multiple choice and a small number are open-ended short text responses. The survey should be translated from English to Chinese and will then be launched in China in coordination with the UNDP China team. Subsequently, survey responses (approximately 50 responses) should be translated from Chinese to English. Overall, the task is expected to take approximately 20 hours over a period of 3 weeks.

Translation and interpretation
In March 2020 Youth Co:Lab - a project co-led by UNDP and Citi Foundation - conducted regional research to assess how the COVID-19 outbreak was impacting youth-led enterprises in Asia-Pacific and how they were responding. Now, as we approach the one year anniversary of the declaration of the pandemic, Youth Co:Lab has launched a COVID-19 #OneYearOn survey to assess: how young entrepreneurs (18-35) in Asia-Pacific have been impacted over the past year, the strategies and solutions they have developed, and their outlook for recovery and beyond. The survey is being translated in select countries, including China. The Online Volunteer will contribute to ongoing efforts to assess the impacts of COVID-19 on youth-led enterprises, identify means to support youth-led enterprises to recover, and to showcase youth-led response and recovery solutions that support efforts to build forward better. The Online Volunteer will support efforts to foster a more inclusive recovery from COVID-19.
