Background and objectives
UNDP’s Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS) is seeking a volunteer to translate the UNDP COVID-19 Response Policy and Programme Offer from English into Chinese. This service offer has been developed with the engagement of UNDP’s Regional Bureaus and feedback from Regional Representatives across Asia-Pacific and Eastern Europe and the CIS. All text, (18 pages) including text contained in charts, graphs and sources requires translation and proofreading. High quality and accuracy are paramount. The team at the (BPPS) will be available to respond to any questions and provide necessary support. The successful online volunteers will be fully credited for their efforts.
Translation and interpretation
UNDP’s policy and programme offer focuses on three areas of support to countries on COVID-19: 1. Resilient health systems to respond to COVID-19, including health procurement support; 2. Inclusive and multi-sectoral crisis management and response to COVID-19, and; 3. Addressing the socio-economic impacts of COVID-19. This is an initial service offer and will be followed by a more detailed toolkit which is currently under development. UNDP’s response is consistent with WHO’s ‘COVID-19 Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan’ and aligned with country-specific UN responses, led by the Resident Coordinator and WHO. The service offer will be shared across UNDP’s global policy network
