Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
UNV China office is seeking 1 online volunteer to translate a project document of around 15 pages from English to Chinese regarding volunteer deployment. This volunteer will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). NOTE: *The volunteer must keep confidential for the translated document. *A certification will be issued to the volunteer upon completion and satisfaction of service. *Volunteer will be duly credited on the document as a token of appreciation for the efforts and time he/she donated free of charge. *All rights of the original documents and its translation are reserved. *Before officially delegating the assignments, shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a brief written test. The selected volunteer is expected to deliver the translation in 1 week with excellence. This volunteer is expected to start the service by end-of-May latest. Communications will be made via e-mail.

Translation and interpretation
The background of the document is a corporate project of volunteer deployment organised by United Nations and Chinese government. Excellent work will be highly appreciated for assisting UNV. The volunteer will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 1 weeks
Undergraduate degree or above in English, OR experience studying in an English-speaking country for more than a year, OR having a translation qualification. Experience with translating official documents from English to Chinese an asset. Native Chinese and excellent command of English. Excellent Chinese writing skills. Knowledge or degree in public affairs, international development or other relevant fields. Applicants may be asked to translate a paragraph as part of the selection process.
