Translation
Translation and interpretation
The UNDP-GEF Global ABS Project in Jordan is currently undertaking a situational snalysis on Jordanian and/or foreign-based enterprises within the Bioprospecting/Biotrade Sector in order to better understand how relevant sectors will apply ABS in their business models. One of the ABS value chain pilots focuses on, and explores, business opportunities that might arise from improving the use of genetic resources of Haloxylon persicum, both in the context of ABS and BioTrade, and from the marketing of its by-products. This Valorization Strategy includes the Disi Women Cooperative, in the Wadi Rum Nature Reserve in Jordan. The translation from English into Arabic of such Valorization Strategy is needed to: a. enable the participant assessment of local stakeholders in the selected value chain; b. develop a holistic vision, based on the implementation of a participatory process and c. facilitate the exchange of information between actors in an explicit way, indicating that everyone is an integral part of the same chain with common market and development goals; d. further develop and finalize the Valorization Strategy
