Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
The Global Support to NBSAP Project is seeking a professional translator whose native language is Russian to support the translation of promotional materials for a massive open online course (MOOC) on BIOFIN. A background in biodiversity finance is preferred. The promotional materials are brief (up to 400 words) and require a quick turn-around. We will inform volunteers of timelines in advance. Select submissions will be emailed to the volunteers between 30 March and 6 April, 2018.

Translation and interpretation
Volunteers will be asked to translate and proofread promotional materials for a massive open online course (MOOC) on biodiversity finance. The course is offered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN), in partnership with the UNDP Global Programme on Nature for Development and the NBSAP Forum. Offered in English, French, Spanish and Russian, the course will cover the following topics: introduction to biodiversity and sustainable development, introduction to biodiversity finance, biodiversity policy and institutional review, biodiversity expenditure review, biodiversity financial needs assessment, biodiversity finance plan. The promotional materials will be disseminated by the course partners to inform their networks about this e-learning opportunity.

1-5 hours per week / 1 weeks
We are looking for online volunteers with a professional background as translators whose mother tongue is Russian. General understanding of global development, environmental issues, and finance is important.
