Requirements
socialprotection.org is set to launch the 6th session of the Ambassadors Programme in March 2019! Selected online volunteers will publish their writing on socialprotection.org’s blog feature. The blogs will explore global social protection policies and programmes. Each Ambassador will develop a monthly publishing plan in collaboration with socialprotection.org’s Managing Editor. Four blogs will be published in total over the Programme period i.e. 19 weeks). Ambassadors will also compile a list of the publications referenced in each blog that are not already included on socialprotection.org. Additionally, they are encouraged to engage with socialprotection.org’s social media channels and share their blogs online. Those who successfully participate will have their profiles featured on socialprotection.org and receive a certificate of appreciation.

Social inclusion
socialprotection.org in an online member-based knowledge sharing and capacity building platform catering to social protection practitioners. It is an unbranded online platform hosted by the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG). The platform directs access to the most up-to-date and comprehensive content on social protection, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. It is also home to a global community of social protection practitioners. It features a blog dedicated to social protection topics. Social protection is a programme and policy approach that is key to the realisation of Sustainable Development Goal 1, ‘to end poverty in all its forms everywhere’, via the implementation of universal, national social protection floors, to ensure no one is left behind. Objectives: - To ensure blog and publications content representing the Ambassador’s regional and thematic interests is available on the platform - To promote engagement with socialprotection.org’s features - To increase the visibility of socialprotection.org within the Ambassador’s region and network

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
