Background and objectives
UNDP is looking for a UNV online that can support us to develop and produce multimedia content for social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram posts, tweets and YouTube text descriptions) to increase reach & visibility effectiveness. The UNV online will support the Communication Unit continuously updating and implementing UNDP Libya's digital engagement strategy, maintaining social media calendar and content plans of content themes and all upcoming coverage schedules according to the calendar, and prepare social media packs for flagship events, initiatives, and campaigns.

Digital engagement plays an important role in UNDP Libya's response to shifts in the fields of communication, advocacy and development. Effective use of digital channels for communication of UNDP's key messages in Libya, through relevant content, experience and dialogue, allow individuals to connect directly with other individuals or groups, as well as brands and organisations, thus creating valuable relationships with both online and offline supporters. UNDP is looking for the support of a UNV volunteer to use digital communication platforms to increase effectiveness of digital brand engagement, through creating content for monthly and weekly social media calendar, preparing social media packs for all key events, dates, launches, etc; and responding timely to messages and comments.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 10 weeks
Demonstrated experience in maintaining social media accounts, especially Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as experience with new media executions, preferably with a development organization; knowledge and understanding of local and global digital landscape and trends. Ability to integrate PR/communication initiatives and visual content with social media; Experience developing compelling content to generate response from audiences online; Excellent English skills.
