Requirements

The South –South Cooperation Unit at UNICEF Brazil is looking for an online volunteer with experience in graphic design and video animation to help develop a short informative animated video that is to be used for marketing and communication purposes.UNICEF Brazil will already have created a script, from which the volunteer will be expected to pitch a storyboard. The video will describe a short historical and conceptual overview on Trilateral South-South Cooperation between Brazil and UNICEF. Voiceover and background music may be included in the requirements depending on the script and decided storyboard. The video will be produced both in an English and Portuguese version. The required resolution will be 1080p HD and delivery will be required in one or more of the following formats: AVI, FLV, MOV and MP4. The volunteer will off course be given due credit in the acknowledgements, and will have played a crucial role in promoting South-South Cooperation worldwide.

Horizontal Cooperation, South-South and triangular cooperation have become key strategies in global development efforts and are set to play an important role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To UNICEF, SSC is incorporated into the Global Strategic Plan (2014-17) as an implementing strategy to achieve results for children in programme countries. The finished video will be shared via our website and used as marketing material in order to promote this strategy.

Volunteers: 1 needed

6-10 hours per week / 10 weeks

Extensive experience developing animated visual products to communicate messages, particularly in the form of animated videos. Knowledge and/or experience in international development or a related field is desired but not required. In your application, please include a CV and web links to your portfolio of previous works. It will also be helpful to us if you can state how long you estimate it will take to make the finished product.
