Task
Background and objectives
Requirements
The Child Protection sector in UNICEF comprises over 800 staff. As part of a 2018 evaluation, it was agreed that there was a need to do a capacity mapping and assesment of the Human resources in the sector. This would build on one done in 2014. A survey has been conducted and some preliminary findings teased out. However, we need someone to conduct deeper analysis (including cross-tabs and comparisons to the previous report) and to write up the findings in a full report.
Writing and editing
Other communications related experience
An electronic survey for all Child Protection personnel was launched globally In September 2019. The objective of the survey is to identify competencies, knowledge and skills to better understand the existing strengths and gaps within UNICEF. Based on the findings, an action plan will be prepared to identify steps to take to support the further development of competencies and skills put forward for further professional development; engage in talent management/succession planning; and address any other issues that come up. The Report Writer will be responsible for identifying and summarizing the key findings and recommendations based on the survey results.
