Background and objectives
The UN Volunteer will translate messages on the U-Report Global Platform from English into Spanish.
Translation and interpretation
U-Report is a youth communication and empowerment tool designed to ensure the voice of youth is heard by decision makers globally. Currently, more than 475,000 young people are active members of the Global U-Report Platform while almost 8 million people have signed up for national platforms around the world to participate in strengthening youth participation and service delivery for young people.
Volunteers: 5 needed
1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks
Fluency in written English plus Spanish. The translations are in the format of and length of text messages. One translation task will be approximately the equivalent of 10 text messages (one text message around 160 characters). During the volunteering period, the translator can expect between 2-4 translation tasks per month. One task is estimated to take less than 1 hour to complete
