Background and objectives
UNICEF is planning to develop gender responsive advocacy Handbook for our response in the humanitarian context, this handbook will support field team when developing their campaigns to be gender responsive, they will be sensitive to target the best persons in their messages (different messages to different audiences). This handbook will cover all UNICEF sectors (Social protection, Protection, health, education, Nutrition, Water and Sanitation). We are looking for someone to develop a tool which support at the advocacy as deliberate process, based on demonstrated evidence, to directly and indirectly influence decision makers, stakeholders and relevant audiences to support and implement actions that contribute to the fulfillment of children’s and women’s rights.

UNICEF supporting country offices in developing advocacy guidance to promote and enhance their response in the field. While supporting, gender integration in all programming cycles, one of the areas in need to be strengthen is the advocacy element which goes with all sections and all steps. Having gender responsive advocacy plans and implementation would enlarge the reach and target the best audiences with the right messages. Some messages target donor and some will target community to change norms. This guideline will support team in the field to focus on “what” to include in their messages and campaigns, in the other hand “How" to use the message, and "who" to target "where" to use their messages...etc. More details will be provided upon selection.

11-20 hours per week / 5 weeks
Have experience in advocacy Participated or lead campaigns (targeting different audiences) The volunteer should have experience in developing advocacy guidelines and messages should have experience in the humanitarian context have excellent English writing have the experience in developing graphs and visualizing presentations have excellent communication knowledge
